6/12 Guest Researcher ~ Pat Cummings
Pat Cummings, has been Director of Research and Evaluation in the Tacoma Public School since 2006. Prior to coming to Tacoma Pat worked in assessment and research capacities in Federal Way and Peninsula School Districts. Pat’s foundation in educational research was established in earlier careers as a School Psychologist, Washington State Mental Health Counselor and Adjunct Psychology Instructor at Tacoma Community College. He is active in the Washington Educational Research Association and often contributes journal articles regarding statistics and technology. Pat provides data and support to numerous community organizations and research projects related to educational outcomes. Pat received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree Psychology at Eastern Illinois University and is a Certified School Psychologist in both Illinois and Washington State.

I made the changes to the calendar..I went ahead and pushed all the assignments to the Thursday.

I've been told that's where the recordings of our AMS session will be located...however I don't see where...stay tuned.

Quantitative Research Resources
Khan Academy is a great place to bone up on the basic understandings regarding the statistics and probability needed for Quantitative Research analysis. SPSS is the most common tool to assist quantitative researchers with their analysis. Finally, here is a great free online textbook on the topic of statistics (Rowntree, 1981).
